Almost the entire pre-pandemic company of “The Phantom of the Opera” will return to the musical when it resumes performances at the Majestic Theatre on Oct. 22, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Cameron Mackintosh announced Tuesday.

Ben Crawford, Meghan Picerno and John Riddle will reprise their leading roles as the Phantom, Christine and Raoul, respectively. Bradley Dean, Craig Bennett, Raquel Suarez Groen, Maree Johnson and Carlton Moe will also all return to their roles.

New to the cast are Emilie Kouatchou and Sara Esty. Kouatchou will make her Broadway debut as the Christine alternate, making her the first Black actor to portray the role on Broadway. Esty will play Meg Giry.

The musical’s ensemble will return as well, including Giselle Alvarez, Polly Baird, Janinah Burnett, Xiaoxiao Cao, David Michael Garry, Chris Georgetti, Kelly Jeanne Grant, Katharine Heaton, Satomi Hofmann, Ted Keegan, Kfir, Kelly Loughran, Scott Mikita, Greg Mills, Justin Peck, Patricia Phillips, Richard Poole, Jessica Radetsky, Janet Saia, Paul A. Schaefer, Carly Blake Sebouhian, Jeremy Stolle, Carrington Vilmont, Jim Weitzer, Elizabeth Welch and Erica Wong.

Coinciding with the casting announcement is the reopening of the Majestic Theatre’s box office, which resumes in-person ticket sales Sept. 14.
